Standard Bosphorus Cruise: The Classic Sightseeing Tour.
A 1–2 hour daytime sightseeing cruise on the Bosphorus, perfect for first-time visitors. Departing from Eminönü or Kabataş, this is the easiest way to see Istanbul's famous skyline, palaces, fortresses and bridges from the water — without the traffic of the streets.
What Will You See on the Route?
The Standard Bosphorus Cruise follows the classic route from Eminönü or Kabataş, sailing between Europe and Asia and passing the most famous landmarks of Istanbul.

Historic Fortresses & Palaces
You will pass the massive Rumeli Fortress and the elegant Dolmabahce Palace. These are the most impressive buildings on the European side.
The Bosphorus Bridges
Sail directly under the giant bridges that connect two continents. It is an amazing feeling to see the scale of these structures from below. You may also see the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge.
Waterfront Mansions (Yalis)
Look at the beautiful wooden houses. Some of these are hundreds of years old and are the most expensive homes in Turkey.
Bebek Bay
One of the prettiest parts of the Bosphorus, Bebek is known for its elegant waterfront, luxury homes, and relaxing atmosphere.
Maiden's Tower (Kız Kulesi)
As you sail towards the Marmara Sea, you will see this famous tower standing alone in the water. It is the symbol of Istanbul's romance.
Anadolu Fortress
This smaller fortress on the Asian side is one of the oldest military structures on the Bosphorus and an important part of the waterway's history.
Plan Your Cruise.
Five practical things to know before you book your standard daytime cruise.
Departure Points
Most tours start near the Galata Bridge (Eminonu) or Kabataş Tram Station. Kabataş and Eminönü are both easy to reach by tram, taxi, or on foot from central areas.
Best Time
Morning (11:00 AM) is great for clear photos. The best season for most travelers is April to October, but winter cruises can also offer beautiful views with fewer crowds.
Weather
Tours operate all year. In rain or snow, you can stay in the heated indoor cabin and still enjoy the view.
Tips
Arrive at the pier at least 15–20 minutes early. Bring sunscreen, a light jacket, and your camera or phone for photos.
Evening Dress
For Day Cruises, casual clothes are perfect.
